Rules

  • Race date : 17/11/2024 – Start at 08:30.
  • Pre-registration is REQUIRED before 10/11/2024. Registratrion onsite is not possible!
  • Pick up handlebar numbers in the municipal sports hall between 06:00 and 08:00 on 17/11/2024.
  • All riders will be prepared in the starting boxes from 07:45.
  • The race boxes will be closed fifteen minutes before the start of the race.
  • 6 electronic mats on the course will ensure that the outer limits of the circuit are monitored.
  • The race will end 3.5 hours after it starts. (12:00).
  • Award ceremony at 11:30 in the municipal sports hall.
    • Prizes for top 40 overall and top 5 master, ladies & youth.
    • The prize can only be requested in the sports hall at the Cycling Vlaanderen table until no later than 1 hour after this prize-giving ceremony. Prizes not requested in time will not be paid out.
  • Everybody can participate. All that is needed is a mountain bike and a helmet.
  • In both the main race and the KIDS race, only mountain bikes are permitted, cyclo-cross bikes, fatbikes or e-bikes are not allowed.
  • The bicycle may (without further restrictions) be fitted with a mountain bike handlebar, so-called beach racing handlebar or standard racing handlebar. Only integrated aero bars approved by the UCI are allowed. Aerobars (eg triathlon) are not allowed.
  • Each participant will receive an attractive souvenir.
  • Each participant is supposed to know the course. The course can be consulted on the website and on the spot in ‘Den Oosthoek’.
  • All riders are insured. Any accidents must be declared within 48 hours of the end of the race.
  • By registering, you accept the rules and all the decisions made by the organisers.

Classification of start boxes

BOX 1: Top 40 overall ranking in 2023, top 5 secondary classifications 2023, pro-riders, wild cards determined by the organisation

BOX 2: Riders with a race permit.

BOX 3: Riders with a recreational permit, recreational riders,…

BOX 4: KIDS (aged 10 to 16 years) – seperate start 5 minutes after the pros.
